Join Us: Become a Trustee at Chester Diocesan Learning Trust (CDLT)

Rooted in Christian values, CDLT recognises and nurtures the unique gifts, skills and talents within our whole community. We seek to empower adults and children to grow in character and mind, shaping a better future.

We are currently looking to appoint new trustees to join our Board and support the ongoing development of our growing Trust.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of our schools and making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people across our communities.

Our Board operates in line with academy trust governance good practice, including statutory requirements and non-statutory guidance published by the Department for Education. Trustees play a vital role in ensuring strong, effective governance, holding executive leaders to account, and contributing to the strategic direction of the Trust.

We are particularly keen to hear from individuals who bring skills or experience in areas such as finance / business, HR, and estates—but most importantly, we are looking for people who share our values and are passionate about supporting high-quality education.

As a trustee, you will work collaboratively with other board members and Trust leaders to provide strategic oversight, challenge and support, and help ensure the Trust continues to thrive.

This is a voluntary role, but one that is both rewarding and impactful.
