Four Schools Join CDLT

Chester Diocesan Learning Trust (CDLT) is delighted to announce that the first four schools have officially joined the Trust on 1st October.

The schools are:

• Bebington St Andrew’s CE Primary School (Wirral)
• Capenhurst CE Primary School (Cheshire West and Chester)
• Davenham CE Primary School (Cheshire West and Chester)
• Lostock Gralam CE Primary School (Cheshire West and Chester)

This marks a significant milestone for CDLT, which has been almost two years in the making. Formed by the schools with the support of the Diocesan Board of Education, the Trust provides a collaborative home for church schools seeking to become academies.

Sue Noakes, seconded from her role as Deputy Director of Education to serve as CEO of CDLT, said:

“It has been inspiring to work with these schools as they help shape the future of the Trust. Collaboration, diversity and shared vision are at the heart of CDLT, and we are excited to see what we can achieve together.”

To celebrate the creation of CDLT, the four schools each held their own version of a common worship devised by the Headteachers involved in the formation. The worship focussed on the Christian vision of the Trust which centres around the teachings of Saint Paul that ‘the body is not made up of one part, but of many’.

Guided by this vision — to nurture the unique gifts, skills and talents of every individual while empowering both adults and children to grow in character and mind — CDLT celebrates the diversity of its schools while uniting them under shared values.

The Trust’s logo, inspired by children’s artwork during a special Art Day, reflects this vision and the spirit of creativity and community that CDLT champions.

Further schools are due to join CDLT in the coming months, expanding the Trust’s family and strengthening the partnership that underpins its mission.
