CDLT Welcomes New CEO

CDLT is delighted to announce the appointment of Sara Lawrenson as our new Chief Executive Officer.

Sara joins the Trust with a wealth of experience in education and leadership, including headship and system leadership roles. She has previously served as a Senior School Improvement Adviser for a Local Authority and has a strong track record in supporting schools to improve outcomes for pupils. More recently, she has been Director of Education at Concordia Multi Academy Trust, where she has led on school improvement and leadership development across the Trust. 

Sara also brings significant experience in developing school leaders, including facilitating NPQH programmes and coaching both new and experienced leaders, reflecting her strong commitment to building capacity across the education system. 

The Trust would also like to place on record its sincere thanks to Sue Noakes, who has served as Interim CEO, for her dedication and leadership in establishing Chester Diocesan Learning Trust. Sue has played a pivotal role in laying strong foundations for the Trust, supporting its early development and ensuring it is well positioned for future growth.
